Twitter has got round profile pictures now, so we’ve made something to help you with it.

Twitter have just recently updated the look of the platform to make it “feel lighter, faster, and easier to use”. One change that a lot of people are talking about is that profile pictures have changed from squares, to circles (it’s part of a generally more rounded look, e.g. buttons and boxes have round edges now too).

The reason people are talking about the profile pictures in particular is because now a lot of people’s profiles aren’t displaying properly. Especially if you have a squareish logo as your profile picture, the new round display might be cutting the corners off – for example as in this picture of our logo (on the right).

We decided it might be helpful if we made a template you can use to see what an image would look like on the new round Twitter. You can download it here. Just put it over the top of the image you want to use and see how it looks. For example, here’s a square picture of me I might want to use as a profile picture, and then our template over the top so I can see how it would look as a round profile picture on Twitter:

Picture of Michaela, Director of Fancy Guppy, next to the same image with our free profile picture template on top showing you how this picture would look on Twitter.

You can use it to make sure you’ve got your image at the right size to show up properly (if you’re not sure how to use it, you can download this guide too).

Download the template here, and feel free to pass it on 😊!
